Program Management

Since our inception in 1982, the backbone of Amelex has been our service in the program management arena, primarily for the Department of Defense (DoD). Every business base, which we have established over the years, has program management principles at its core. Amelex has integrated program management concepts into every one of our business segments to ensure our customer’s projects are managed with optimal effectiveness and efficiency.

Our staff of analysts has a thorough understanding of the requirements of our clients. They know what it takes to successfully manage DoD programs. Utilizing both conventional and web-based tools, Amelex’s program management services include acquisition support, financial management, budget development, contracts management, configuration management, affordability analysis, Congressional liaison support and overall project management and scheduling. Though tasks performed for each of these functions differ, they inter-relate to form the overall program’s “Big Picture” for our customers.

Our staff is on-site at the Pentagon, Program offices, and Field Activity offices. They are involved in every program phase including assisting with the preparation of the Program Objective Memorandum/Program Requirement (POM/PR), NAVCOMPT (DON), OSD, and the President’s budgets; developing acquisition documentation including Acquisition Plans (AP), Capability Development Documents (CDD), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), etc.; processing funding and monitoring obligations and expenditures; preparing contract procurement package documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Sole Source Justifications (J&A), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), etc.; monitoring awarded contracts through the close-out phase; and developing and monitoring project tracking schedules and databases.

No matter what phase a program is currently in, Amelex has the staff, knowledge, and ability to move our customers in a positive direction.
